Review: Scream (2022)

Image
Rating: 8/10 I mean, I was never really a huge fan of Scream movies so I got to watching this one with not really high expectations and this might be my favorite one of the films. Not differentiating too much in the basics from the previous movies, still it is good enough to watch and here is why.

Rating: 1/10 Is this a joke? Even having covid was better than this movie lol

Review: Candyman (2021)

My rating: 6/10 Before I proceed with my review I have to mention that I have not seen the original '92 version of this film so the actual impression from this one was based on this work only with no comparison to the original version. And I actually kind of liked this film.

Review: Malignant (2021)

My rating: 4/10 This review contains major spoilers, because I am so done. James Wan used to be my favorite director because of his very heavy atmospheric horror movies. I remember his pieces to always be the scariest shit there was so hell yes that I was terribly disappointed with this one.

Review: Don't Breathe (2016)

Don't Breathe is an average thriller film with quite tense atmosphere. There are not that many horror elements, but in this particular film I enjoyed the way the film plays with the sensory perception of the characters. Such scenes were the ones best shot and best highlighting the overall idea of the film. However, the characters do not stand out much - apart from the antagonist, and in the end I was not sure who I should be rooting for to survive, because to some extent, the blind guy was in the right to shoot them (as mentioned in the movie itself, too). The film tries to bring in a very sad story of the girl lead character, but it just feels forced and as if there could have been another way to escape her fate, thus I did not agree with her actions.  As for the plot, there are some original and unexpected twists and the action going on is enough to keep you entertained as the film is quite short.  5/10

Review: Train to Busan 2 (2020)

My rating: 4 I consider Train to Busan one of the best zombie horror film, thus the disappointment while watching the second part was huge. Train to Busan 2 is more of an action film. Despite that it seems that it takes characters forever to make a decision or move away when they should. It just has way too many plot holes for me to enjoy, even though when the action scenes of the film were going on, it did not seem that bad. So to speak though, the film seems a bit familiar to the not-so-good episodes of The Walking Dead. The focus on people being the evil in the postapocalyptic world is not working in this case though, there is simply not enough time to dive deep enough into the evil nature of the said characters.  From the visual point of view, zombies are yet again portrayed very well. But we do not get to see much of them, as majority of action happens either when fighting humans or when the protagonists are in a car. Car chasing scenes were done with special effects that were n
